These short dialogues recycle the kind of Turkish you already met in the survival pack: greetings, introducing yourself, asking simple questions, and ordering at a café.

Dialogue 1 - Meeting someone

Use: greetings, introducing yourself, simple personal information.

Aylin:

Merhaba! Nasılsın?

Daniel:

İyiyim, teşekkürler. Sen nasılsın?

Aylin:

Ben de iyiyim.

Daniel:

Benim adım Daniel. Senin adın ne?

Aylin:

Benim adım Aylin. Memnun oldum.

Daniel:

Ben de memnun oldum.

Use: ordering, yes/no, and paying.

Müşteri:

Merhaba. Bir kahve, lütfen.

Study tip: First read each dialogue slowly. Then read it again with a partner. Finally, replace the names, city, or drink with your own details and practise it out loud.
