Say the ten first, then the one. No extra word is needed.
Useful idea: Turkish numbers do not change before nouns.
bir kahve = one coffee | iki kahve = two coffees | üç bilet = three tickets
Say these aloud without looking back: 18, 24, 39, 47, 62, 75, 88, 96.
Ask Saat kaç? = What time is it? Turkish has a few very useful patterns. Learn them as chunks first.
The same idea works with other minutes. With geçiyor, count minutes after the hour. With var, count minutes before the next hour.
